A Weekend Away (Jan 28 to 31, 2016)

Last Thursday, after packing up a lot of scrapbooking items, I headed down-island to Qualicum to attend a srapping crop at a B&B that was built to host such events. We arrived on Thursday and returned home on Sunday and it was delightful. It was so delightful that I have booked two more retreats within the next year.
The location is convenient and not hard to find. Scrappers and quilters are the biggest users of this wonderful B&B style retreat. Rooms sleep from two to four beds and each has its own bathroom. Ruth and I took a room on the main floor because of my knee but will be moving upstairs next time.
Each person gets an eight foot long table and a small kitchen in a corner of the large crafting room provides a fridge and counter space with dishes etc.
Taking some of your own favourite snacks is always nice but it really isn't necessary at Wyldflower because the meals are filling, tasty and wonderful. There are two tables for guests and the atmosphere is very friendly and this adds to the tasty items served at mealtime. In addition there is a small storefront of scrapbooking supplies just in case you need something you didn't remember to bring.
I was working on a Project Life scrapbook of my 2013 cross Canada trip. After the first page was done The process got easier. The hardest part was choosing the sheet to use to achiev the best display of pictures.
What a wonderful way to spend my last free weekend before the right knee replacement!
