A Quiet Day...sort of

Today the jet lag took it's toll or at least that is my story. The plan to visit "The Rooms" and then go downtown was no longer possible because it was well past noon before movement was detected in my or in Ruth's rooms. Downtown will happen another day. Luckily we had purchased fruit, granola and yogurt bowls the day before during our shopping adventure. This made lunchfast quick and easy. And also yummy.
The bus arrived at the student building shortly after we got there and we were dropped off at The Rooms. We went upstairs first, partly so we could avoid the school kids and mostly to let Edith know we were finally there.
The displays at The Rooms are wonderfully diverse and very interesting. The history of NL is quite diverse...says she who never really liked history. NL was and is a challenging place because of the terrain, the weather and the distances. The people were and are very innovative and resourceful.
When we returned to the campus the residence had more than a few women in purple waiting to check in. The "Gathering", as it is called, officially starts today (Wednesday) and I really should go back to sleep before the alarm tells me there is no time left for sleeping.
G'nite, see you in the morning...
