Memories

I have a childhood memory of visiting the Hopewell Rocks when  we were moving from Nova Scotia to Maryland. My first memory of the flowerpot rocks is that of a ten year old... they were huge, weird and wonderful.
My second visit was more than ten years ago when my maritime vacation coincided with Mum and Dad's visit to Halifax for a naval reunion. We met in Moncton and made both a low and high tide visit to the rocks. We also watched the tidal bore come up the Petticodiac River.
These memories were with me as I video taped the tidal bore, convinced my creaky knees that they could make it up and down the steps at Hopewell Rocks and made more memories of this special place.
